This shed is at our Gallery in Kittery, Maine and was originally the chicken coop on the property. It is located at the back of the property between the Black Birch restaurant and our amazing patio built by Hale’s Landscaping. When we first bought the property, my girls were 6 and 9 and decided that this should be their playhouse. I just didn’t have the heart to tell them about the history of the chicken coop! They worked very hard to clean it out, paint and decorate and it was important for me to give them the freedom to do this entirely on their own. There is still chicken wire in the windows but it also has a sweet polka dot beanbag chair in there as well!
I love sheds, there is something functional and fun about them. Here are more thoughts about sheds!
