I recently spent two days at the Boston Design Center taking Continuing Education Units (CEUs) to maintain my ASID (American Society of Interior Design) status. It was not exactly exciting (especially on beautiful fall days), but I love learning and meeting other professionals.
I have a ton of respect for Interior Design professionals who work with clients on selecting furnishings and draperies. It’s really hard and sometimes frustrating work, that’s why I don’t do it. The interior design division of amy dutton Home focuses on specifying building material selections – cabinetry, countertops, flooring, tile, lighting, plumbing fixtures, paint selections and hardware. If our clients want to purchase furnishings, we refer them out or we sell lines through our shop located in the Kittery Foreside.
When it comes to fabric, interior designers will spend many, many hours looking for the perfect fabric for their clients. As a matter of fact, I found this so frustrating that I decided to start my own line of fabric.
Samples are in the shop for you to check out or we can order custom samples for you. The designs are both graphic and organic. Each design can be customized by:
