There are SO many options when laying out tile, so why take it lightly!
Yes, I selected my tile many weeks ago and estimated the square footage amount from calculating the tile and pattern. Now that the installer is in on site, we are fine tuning the layout. I am considering a vertical layout for the larger tiles because I would like some of the tiles to make the space feel tall. So in the image shown above you will see the pattern that has been edited for real application after preliminary layout with the installer.
The tile that I have selected for my shower is:
_FLOOR: 2×2 Marble tiles shower floor
_WALLS: 12 x 24 American Olean
_ACCENT WALL: Ann Sacks, Glass Tiles_ both 3×6 matte and glossy
In all honesty, tile install seems very difficult to me. It involves a lot of math and a saw. Neither of which I am willing or able to do on my own, are you?
Have you thought about how your tile should be laid out? Just buying tile from a big box store and having it installed without thought is basically a waste of money.
Stay tuned, I have a LOT of tile in this project…more to come!
