Highlights of Rye Colonial Renovation project

The Rye Colonial Renovation was a project that I started working on in 2017. Why such a long timeline? Well, we designed the addition and went through the Schematic Phase of design then the price came back higher than anticipated. After evaluating whether or not to redesign, they decided that the design was right for the house and their needs / wants so they would pause and get their finances settled before moving forward. Construction started in September 2019 and finished in May 2020.

The scope of the project was to take the addition off the left side down to the foundation and rebuild it up from there to accommodate a family room on the first floor and a master bathroom with an office on the second floor. A large farmers porch was also added as a way to roof a mudroom addition to the house from the garage. The interior renovations included a new kitchen, laundry relocation to the second floor, master closet, and reconfiguration of bedroom spaces, powder room, and kid’s bath.

With a new roof, windows, and siding, this house took a turn into this century. Next up? Landscaping! Stay tuned for images because it’s already designed and will be installed when the weather turns in the spring.
