It seems that in 2021 what was “typical” was either projects happening very fast or very slow. To say that this is a strange way to manage a company is putting it lightly, but we are getting through it with smiles on our faces and a solid positive attitude. It also helps to have such amazing clients as these to move the project along efficiently.
A quick email then Zoom call in November of 2020 resulted in designing an addition/renovation from only the realtor’s provided floor plan. This is always dangerous, but we needed to secure a builder quickly and ideally start construction in January 2021. Luckily, we were able to secure Havenhill Builders since they had an opening for about five minutes.
The scope of work architecturally was to add dormers for a new office over the mudroom, extend the roofline in the back to create a master bathroom, and add a front farmers’ porch. The rest of the project involved a full gut, moving around a few interior walls and all new materials.
