Kitchen Reno

Sometimes it’s hard to imagine that the kitchen of your dreams is possible to create out of the kitchen of your reality. The mission of this project was to do exactly that for the homeowners. The existing kitchen in this Rye, New Hampshire, home was small, dark, and very dated. Beyond that, it was also positioned in an odd location relative to the rest of the home, without views out onto the backyard or driveway, and had walls that were angled inconveniently – making it extremely dysfunctional for cooking or entertaining. Our renovation involved removing these walls to open up the layout, and blending the kitchen with the rest of the home, creating a spacious haven with easy traffic flow and a plethora of seating options for family and friends. In keeping with the homeowners traditional style, we used oak wood to match the existing flooring, overlay cabinetry with white painted beaded doors, and an island of dark oak to match the original ceiling beam. The glass mosaic tile backsplash and Moen plumbing fixtures complement the airy, light-filled space
