Flooring is one of the most important things to consider in a home.
When renovating our home, there were so many decisions to made and money spent that I simply needed to press the pause button. So I had the contractor lay down plywood and I painted it. Floor paint is an amazing product because it is durable and forgiving (yes, I repaint my kitchen floor about every 6 months or so). To add a bit of interest and movement, I added some swirls.
Rugs are definitely helpful in this case both for comfort and to cover up any unsightly seams. Shown in this photo (besides by puppy who is ignoring me) are rugs from West Elm and Pappelina. Pappelina creates hand woven plastic rugs in different shapes, sizes and color ways.
Available at the amy dutton Gallery, I am happy to help you find the right rug for your space!
